In recent years, her focus has been on the devastating impact of Russia’s war against Ukraine, particularly on children. Beyond conflict reporting, Shahida has always been deeply committed to human rights storytelling. Her first independent feature documentary, EXILED, explored the genocide of Rohingya Muslims, shedding light on one of the most tragic humanitarian crises of our time.
