Pedro Corzo, Santa Clara, 1943. Lecturer, essayist, historical researcher, and journalist. He contributes to El Nuevo Herald, La Prensa, El Mundo, and Montonero, as well as several online platforms. He is the host of the program Opiniones on WLRN, Channel 17. He has produced 16 historical documentaries, including Zapata, Boitel Vive, Los Sin Derechos, Muriendo a Plazos, Tributo a Papá, Desplazados y Pueblos Cautivos, and Las Torturas de Castro. He has published 23 books on Cuban and Latin American issues. Among his works are Cuba, Cronología, Perfiles del Poder, La Porfía de la Razón, Guevara: Anatomía de un Mito, Cuba: Desplazados y Pueblos Cautivos, and El Espionaje Cubano en Estados Unidos: la Extinción de la República. His most recent book is La República que Perdimos. He worked at Radio Martí for 23 years. In 2011, he was chosen among the 100 most influential Hispanics in Miami-Dade County. In May 2017, he received the Medal of Freedom awarded by the Governor of the State of Florida. In 2018, he was featured in the television series Leyendas del Exilio. He is currently Vice President of the Cuban Academy of History in Exile, Vice President of the Cuban Exiled Pen Club, and has chaired the Cuban Historical Memory Institute Against Totalitarianism since its founding in 1999.
