Oscar was born in Jambi on August 31, 1983. He discovered his love for photography while pursuing a bachelor's degree in communication from Atmajaya University, Yogyakarta. He realized that there were many things that could be shared in this world, so he chose photography as his medium. Oscar continued his education and received a Diploma of Photojournalism from Ateneo De Manila University in 2011 In October 2008, Oscar received a grant from Art Network Asia (ANA) to enrich his knowledge in a photography workshop at the Singapore International Photography Festival. In November 2008, he again had the opportunity to take part in the Young Photographer Asia workshop at the Angkor Photography Festival. Oscar is currently working as a freelance photographer based in Jakarta, Indonesia His growing work can be seen in the following media and publications: Greenpeace, USAID, UN WOMEN, World Society for the Protection of Animals, The New York Times, The Guardian, TIME, Australian Associated Press, Getty Images, AFP-Services, etc. Award • Konrad Adenauer Asian Center For Journalism Fellowship at Ateneo de Manila University (2009) • Third place in daily life category at Indonesian Photojournalist Award (2011) • Third place in "Vision of Indonesia" held by Lenmarc Mall (2011) • Second place in (Indonesia Tanpa Discrimination Award "with" Waria, Faith and Islamic project ”(2012)
