Check FAQAbout Noah
Noah Moeys (1997) is an ambitious journalist currently situated in Arequipa, Peru. She launched her freelance career at 22 in The Guardian. Since then she has focused on investigative journalism, publishing in Dutch national media and The Guardian. In 2026 she moved to Peru to work from there. For the past two years Noah worked as a fulltime investigative journalist at Het Financieele Dagblad, the Dutch financial newspaper. Her revealing cover stories about the millions of euro's hidden in the bottle return system have caused nationwide uproar and resulted in political debates. In 2025, she interviewed millionaires, including ASML ceo Peter Wennink, while doing long-distance hikes with them. Through her upbringing in three different countries – the Netherlands, Norway and Libya – her open-minded interest in the world and its people was triggered. As a journalist and anthropologist, Noah’s main foci are injustice, climate and its effects on people. What is happening to the planet and how are people dealing with the consequences? In her stories, she always searches for the human face of the situation. Noah has completed two bachelor’s degrees simultaneously: Journalism and Cultural Anthropology (through Liberal Arts and Sciences) at Utrecht University. Noah is a well-disciplined and empathetic young woman who speaks and writes in English, Dutch, Norwegian and Spanish. Her first book was published in 2020, featuring her columns about student life during the COVID-pandemic.
