Nicholus Thiongo

Nicholus Thiongo is a financial journalist based in Nairobi, Kenya. He is a seasoned expert in strategic communications with over 13 years of experience in both media and public relations industries. He has a wealth of experience in practice areas spanning public relations strategy formulation, investor relations, crisis management, editorial content development, stakeholder engagement and online reputation management.

Nick started his career as a business journalist and has worked for and contributed to an array of national newspapers and business magazines in Nairobi, Kenya. A Bloomberg Financial Journalism Fellow, he also independently contributes as a freelancer to Techonomy, a business and technology publication jointly owned by Forbes and the former Technology Editor of Fortune Magazine and Financial Management (FM) which is published by the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants.

He honed his experience in integrated marketing and communications working for agencies such Gina Din Corporate Communications, Ogilvy PR and Redhouse Public Relations and Homeboyz/Publicis One.
He has crafted and implemented strategic communications for organizations such as Ecobank, KCB Group, IMF, Vision 2030, First Lady’s Half Marathon, Privatization Commission, The Economist Conferences, Ministry of ICT, LG Electronic and the African Union among others.
