Maryam Rahimi

I am a London-based digital journalist and editor with more than a decade of experience covering the political, security, and human rights developments of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Since 2013, I have reported on Iran’s nuclear negotiations, major protest movements in 2019 and 2022, the nationwide protests in January 2026, and the regional tensions that followed the 2025 Iran–Israel war. My work focuses on explaining complex political developments for international audiences and reporting responsibly in fast-moving and sensitive situations.

I previously served as Managing Editor (Digital) at Iran International, where I led digital strategy and coordinated newsroom coverage during major breaking news events. Alongside editorial leadership, I have experience in on-camera reporting, field coverage, and conducting interviews with policymakers, analysts, and civil society voices.

I hold Master’s degrees in English Literature and British Studies, with a focus on law, politics, and media. I work in both English and Persian and am particularly interested in journalism that helps audiences better understand complex global events.
