About Magdalena
I am a freelance journalist from Slovakia, currently based in Oaxaca, Mexico. I have been traveling and residing mostly in developing countries since 2014. 

I write stories of human rights and global issues. 

I reported on the reintegration process of ex-combatants in Colombia (2016), on the route of bananas and cacao from Colombia to the stores in Slovakia (2016), lives of Tibetan refugees in India (2016), on the elections from Myanmar (2012 and 2015), India and Indonesia (2014).  I also covered the consequences of typhoon Haiyan in Philippines (2014) and the consequences of tsunami in Indonesia (2013). I brought articles about illegal land grabbing due to sugar cane plantations in Cambodia (2014), human trafficking in Cambodia (2014), development projects of local NGOs working with farmers in Indonesia (2014), organic rice planting in Indonesia (2013), migration issues in Philippines (2014), human rights issues in Cuba (2012), etc. 

I am also open to cooperation with travel magazines as I have travel more than 40 countries. 

My work has been published in the most read print and online publications in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Yet, I am keen to write in English.
