Luis Ojeda

My name is Luis Ojeda. I am an audiovisual documentation and archive management specialist and served as Supervisor of the Telemundo Network Image Archive for 29 years, a position of high responsibility within the organization’s news operation. The speed and accuracy with which reporters, producers, and editors were able to locate critical visual material depended largely on the efficiency of the team I led.

My role was to ensure that every image broadcast carried accurate descriptions, verified historical context, precise metadata, and proper legal clearance—essential elements to uphold the editorial integrity and credibility of a major international network.

Throughout my career, I oversaw and coordinated visual coverage of some of the most significant events of our time, including the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York, the Iraq War, the capture of Osama bin Laden, major natural disasters, and key political moments around the world.

In recognition of this work, I was honored with an Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for the documentary “Pope Francis,” a distinction that reflects the collective effort, journalistic rigor, and technical excellence that I consistently sought to uphold.
