Ledja Canaj is an investigative journalist, civic innovator and policy-oriented practitioner based in Brussels, Belgium, with over 13 years of experience in national television in Albania, including roles as editor and editor-in-chief. Her work has focused on governance, organised crime, and financial investigations, contributing to public accountability and transparency.

In Brussels, she expanded her work into EU affairs, migration, and social cohesion, serving as editor-in-chief and radio host, covering enlargement, diaspora engagement and underrepresented communities.

Over the past decade, she has developed a field-based, evidence-driven approach to migration and integration, combining journalism, research, programme design and policy insight.

In 2022, she founded ShqipVille – Maison Culturelle Belgo-Albanaise, a community-based innovation platform reaching over 400,000 people from more than 130 nationalities, promoting inclusion and civic participation.
