Labinot Leposhtica is a media legal advisor, currently the head of the legal office at KALLXO.com, a joint award-winning media outlet in Kosovo co-produced by BIRN Kosovo and Internews Kosova. Mr Leposhtica is a lawyer by profession with over seven years of experience in the media sector, including legal editing, working on building rules and regulations improving labour rights of journalists and engaging with public institutions to improve the situation of the media sector in Kosovo. Mr Leposhtica is a members of the Press Council of Kosova while he has also engaged in providing feedback and suggesting amendments to labour legislation in Kosovo. He has also represented journalists who were sued for defamation, while also providing trainings for local and central level journalists on how to report legally safe and defend themselves against defamation, privacy and slander lawsuits.
