Directed by Francesca Pirani, produced by LAND Comunicazioni, line-produced by KUDU Studios, the feature documentary entitled Vakhim has been selected for screening at the prestigious Giornate degli Autori section of the Venice Film Festival today.
Vakhim is a poignant exploration of identity, family, and cultural heritage. It follows the story of a young man who returns to Cambodia for the first time since being adopted by an Italian family as a child. The film delves into his journey of rediscovering his roots, connecting with his biological family, and navigating the complexities of his dual identity.
We’re thrilled to work with Daubay Production as a line-producer on an exciting new Kazakh feature film, making history as the first Kazakh film to be shot in Cambodia!
Even more exciting, this groundbreaking project has tremendous support from Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, Ministry of Tourism, the APSARA Authority, Siem Reap Provincial Hall, and numerous private organizations.
Titled “Kazakh Vibe”, the film aims to highlight Cambodia’s breathtaking landscapes, coinciding perfectly with the recent launch of direct flights between Kazakhstan and Cambodia. This milestone project is set to inspire new international travelers to discover the Kingdom’s stunning scenery and vibrant culture.
