Karin A Kloosterman

Karin Kloosterman is a Canadian journalist based in the Middle East, known for her clear-eyed, human-centered reporting at the intersection of sustainability, culture, technology, and ethics. She is the founder and editor-in-chief of Green Prophet, one of the region’s longest-running independent platforms dedicated to environmental innovation and climate solutions.

For more than a decade, Kloosterman has reported from across the Middle East and North America, covering stories that bridge ancient landscapes and modern innovation: water scarcity and desalination, desert agriculture, renewable energy, climate finance, food systems, and the cultural forces that shape environmental decision-making.
