Kayley has experience in print and radio having previously worked as a Reporter for the Westmeath Independent and Researcher for Clare FM. At the Westmeath Independent she generated news stories, covered events and local news, updated social media platforms e.g. Facebook, Twitter and the news websites, rewrote press releases, carried out interviews, compiled the what's on guide and updated the newsroom diary etc.
At Clare FM, Kayley was responsible for writing daily blog posts for the flagship show 'Morning Focus', uploading overnights, editing the show, uploading podcasts, research, writing briefing documents and logging comments. She also updated social media, conducted vox-pops, edited them on Audition with multi-track and booked guests. Kayley acted as producer for Morning Focus on a number of occasions and was responsible for putting calls through to presenter Gavin Grace on air, bringing live guests into the studio and corresponding using the MsgPopup.
Kayley worked as a Social Media Assistant for RTÉ for the General Election last February. She was responsible for updating the Longford-Westmeath constituency Twitter on the counts. This involved writing captions, taking photos and videos and conducting research on the results of the counts in other counties.
