NRK's Europe correspondent Roger Sevrin Bruland shares his experiences reporting from Ukraine, highlighting the stark contrast between life before and after the war. He describes the fear and anxiety among the Ukrainian people, who now face the threat of death and have lost track of friends and family. Bruland has been well-received by locals who appreciate foreign journalists. He reports on the Pravda Brewery in Lviv, which has shifted from brewing beer to making molotov cocktails after Ukrainian authorities encouraged civilians to arm themselves. Bruland also covers a metalworking shop producing spike mats and 'hedgehogs' for checkpoints. Despite the dangers, he maintains a professional distance and plans to return to Ukraine in a few weeks.
