As a Multimedia Producer at The Daily Star, the largest English media house of Bangladesh, Naimur brings a diverse set of skills to his role, having completed a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Chittagong and Post Graduate Diploma in Film and Television from Pathshala South Asian Media Institute. In addition to his work at The Daily Star, he has also completed freelance projects for reputable organizations such as Insider, AFP, China Daily and Amnesty International, honing his skills as a multimedia content creator. Naimur is a fellow of DW Akademie and KAS. His passion for impactful storytelling led him to complete the "Storytelling for Impact" course from the National Geographic Society. He is dedicated to creating multimedia content that engages and informs the audience while upholding the highest ethical standards. As a local producer for China Daily, I oversaw the entire production process, from pre-production to post-production, for a story on a dying language with only seven remaining speakers. I managed research, filming, and editing to document a man’s efforts to preserve the language by teaching it to young students.
As a local reporter for Nova Lectio, an Italian documentary-based channel, I was responsible for filming all interviews and B-rolls. I ensured high-quality visuals that effectively captured the essence of Dhaka while managing on-ground fact checking and production logistics.
As a producer, local fixer, and cinematographer for Insider, I initiated and executed the entire production, from pitching the concept to final execution. I secured all necessary filming permissions, coordinated logistics, and managed interviewees to ensure a smooth production process.
