Matik Kueth

Matik Kueth is a journalist based in Juba, South Sudan, known for his insightful reporting and commitment to uncovering the truths that shape his nation. A proud graduate of the University of Juba (UoJ), Matik earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, where he developed a strong foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of journalism. He also holds an advanced certificate in journalism from the Media Development Institute (MDI), where he served as the sports news editor for the students' journal. This role allowed him to nurture his editorial skills while mentoring aspiring journalists.
Matik began his journalism career as a program host at Capital FM, where he honed his communication skills and learned the intricacies of broadcasting. In 2022, he transitioned to Top FM as a reporter, showcasing his ability to cover a wide range of topics with clarity and depth. His passion for journalism and talent for storytelling led to his recognition for engaging reports.
In same year (2022), Matik joined the City Review Newspaper, where he quickly rose to prominence due to his compelling coverage of economy, politics, health, and business. His well-researched stories frequently graced the front page, earning him respect and recognition within the industry. His keen insights into pressing issues in South Sudan have made significant contributions to public discourse.
In addition to print media, Matik is a versatile multimedia journalist equipped with a diverse skill set that span both print and broadcast media reporting. His experience also includes a position as a reporter with King Media, where he further strengthened his reporting capabilities and expanded his journalistic reach.
