Masoud Soheili is a film director and festival manager. He has won more than 40 awards from over 300 film festivals with his movies "Blue-eyed boy" (2014) and "Elephantbird"(2019).
He was a member of 9 film festivals, including the Yogya Netpac Asian Film Festival (2015) and Avanca International Film Festival in Portugal (2016 and 2018). Masoud is co-founder and creative director of the "Asia Peace Film Festival" in Islamabad, Pakistan, and programmer of the "Changing Perspective Intentional Film Festival" in Istanbul, Turkey. This review explores the link between gut microbiota and hippocampal function, focusing on cognitive functions, synaptic plasticity, and the role of probiotics. Evidence suggests that gut microbiota influences hippocampal-related behaviors, learning, memory, and neurogenesis. Probiotics, particularly Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria, have shown positive effects on hippocampal function, including enhancing synaptic plasticity, increasing BDNF levels, and reducing inflammation and oxidative stress. The review highlights the potential therapeutic role of probiotics in brain health and calls for further human studies to explore these effects.
