Collaborating with Ann Fitz-Gerald and Jeff Peace, our program engaged over 87 international diplomats, journalists, political analysts, and researchers from various institutions. We focused on providing comprehensive insights into Ethiopia's socio-political landscape, fostering informed discussions and nuanced perspectives on regional affairs. Through meticulous coordination and production efforts, we aimed to elevate discourse and understanding, contributing significantly to global awareness of the complexities within the Horn of Africa.
I participated in a three-episode documentary exploring the rich history, economic significance, and geopolitical complexities of the Abay/Nile River across Ethiopia, Sudan, and Egypt. The project delved into the river's historical evolution, its economic importance to the region, and the intricate security and political dynamics among the three countries. As a contributor, I provided insights into these multifaceted topics, aiming to foster greater understanding and dialogue on the environmental, social, and diplomatic challenges surrounding one of Africa's most vital waterways.
