KAMAU LEVITT is s a documentary film producer/photographer/fixer/translator based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Began studying graphic design at Kenya Polytechnic in 1991, worked as a designer for 8 years.
In 1998, I handled video camera for the first time and fell in love with motion visual. I was hooked.  
I worked with different NGOs as a video grapher/ graphic designers, including WFP, ITDG (Now practical action) UNDP among others. 
1999-2002-I enrolled Chartered Institute of Marketing CIM among other and graduated with various levels of marketing certification
I worked with several organisation, as a fixer, production manager and finally later as as a documentary producer/director until 2008, That is when I enrolled for a one year masters program in AFDA (South Africa school of motion picture and performing arts), in Masters in Cinematography.
Media Focus on Africa gave me my first job as a consulting producer for a 26 episodes drama series in 2009 dealing with effect of post election violence of 2007, in Kenya. 
In late 2008, with a friend and my wife we registered TAKE2-AFRIKA MEDIA LTD, as a documentary film company and fixing agency. It got registered in the ministry of Information and communication, under the department of Film services. 
As a film director/producer and fixer, I have managed to produce and or fixed for many local and international organisations and production companies; including BBC channel 4, Comic relief, Unilever India, Southampton University, UAE etc.
I am always glad to manage and make sure a production has come to an end within the expected schedule, budget and with no stress to the client, At all.
