Jeanty Junior Augustin, graduated in economics at the Faculty of Law and Economics of Port-au-Prince in 2011. He obtained a certificate in Citizen Journalism, Audiovisual and Photojournalism at Haiti Reporters. He attended at least 5 training courses on photography at the Fondation Connaissance et Liberté (FOKAL) with Haitian and foreign trainers such as: Chéry Dieu-Nalio, Gaël Turine and Paolo Woods.  He has worked for the newspaper Le Nouvelliste for more than 7 years. It publishes in international media such as: Paris Match, Le Temps, RFI, Yahoo News, CBS News, America-Aljazeera, MSNBC, EuroNews, The Guardian, Média Part, AFP and Associated Press in videography. Since December 2014, he has been working as a freelance for the Reuters Agency. He also works for NGOs such as: MSF Belgium, IOM, WFP. He is a member of the kolektif of photographers, journalists and graphic designer named Kolektif 2 dimansyon (K2D). In August 2020, in New York, he took training on the «Hostile Environment Training (HET)» this training is designed for people who work or travel in dangerous places. 


In 2015, he received the Philippe Chaffanjon Award with Juno Jean Baptiste for the multimedia report entitled "La balade de Quai Colomb". He was awarded the «Prix de Relève 2015», Prix Découvrir Haïti. In 2017, he won the prize for the best political photo in Haiti (Loop Haiti) and is in the top 10 of the best photographers in Haiti on several online media (MagHaiti, Ticket Magazine etc.)
