www.inarachayamiti.com @ina.chayamiti Inara Chayamiti has been a filmmaker for over 10 years. Telling stories is her greatest passion and the camera her my favorite tool. She likes to participate in the whole process and produces formats as documentary, webseries and video reports. “Yzalú - Rap, Feminism and Blackness”, that she directed with Mayra Maldjian, has been selected by eight festivals between 2018 and 2019: in-Edit Brazil, São Paulo International Short Film Festival, MIMO, “Semana Paulistana do Curta-Metragem”, “Mostra das Minas”, the french festival FIFH, “Mostra Itinerante Livre de Cinema” and “Mostra Internacional Audiovisual Curta O Gênero”. She also signs the short’s direction of photography and editing.Created by her, the independent web series "Volta na Quadra" won the NETLABTV prize and was selected by Telas Festival. It was also sponsored by Folha de S. Paulo and it completed 10 episodes. She also shot two seasons of a Riot Games' documentary series called “Legends Rising” and she was able to work with international crews from the USA, Chile, Paris and London. She has been working for Greenpeace since 2014 and she did lots of campaigns, especially at the Amazon rainforest. She is also part of YVY, an initiative that brings together women who use image as an instrument of work and expression. She also worked as a video journalist for big Brazilian newspapers and magazines, as Folha de S. Paulo and Veja SP. She studied journalism at the State University of Londrina and she did the August Documentary Intensive at UnionDocs (NY). She also did Abril Journalism Course, she got a postgraduate degree in video from Anhembi Morumbi University and she did other courses and workshops focused on cinematography, editing, impact documentary, script writing and entrepreneurship.
