Hans-Berry Jacques is a haitian journalist based in North Lauderdale, United States of America. After studying social communication and law at the State University of Haiti, he began a promising career in journalism with two radio stations in Port-au-Prince (Radio Kiskeya and Radio Vision 2000). There, he acquired fruitful experience and produced important reports, particularly on the Haitian socio-political crisis, the failures of post-earthquake reconstruction and political and judicial affairs. He then had a career in communication with Haitian civil society organizations (including the ISC of Mr. Rosny Desroches) where he was still able to observe closely the complexities of the overall situation of his country. In 2023, he moved to Florida due to the deterioration of the security climate in Port-au-Prince and its surroundings. Today, he wants to reconnect with his passion for journalism. He can work in reporting, interviews and presentation (in Creole and French) of news on the situation of Haitians in Haiti and in the diaspora. He also has very good proofreading skills in Creole and French.

For a long and necessary institutional recovery in Haiti
Hans-Berry Jacques, a communication professional and jurist, argues that Haiti cannot hold credible elections under the current conditions and criticizes the international community, particularly the United States, for supporting President Jovenel Moïse. He suggests that a transitional government is necessary to address the country's political instability and to lay the groundwork for future democratic processes. Jacques emphasizes the need for institutional reforms, particularly in the judiciary and security sectors, to ensure future elections are credible. He concludes by expressing doubt that Moïse will be able to remain in power until the end of his term and hopes for an end to the PHTK regime.
