Indonesian jazz pianist Nial Djuliarso, amidst completing his Jazz studies in New York, has released a new jazz single titled 'Happy Days'. Inspired by the city of New York, Nial, who recently completed his Master's degree from NYU's Steinhardt Master Program, finds the city to be full of inspiration, from Manhattan to the Bronx and the NYU campus area. Nial, who has a background in jazz studies from Julliard School and has released an album featuring the works of Ismail Marzuki, is known for his soft improvisation piano style. He hopes his works will make Indonesian jazz more known in New York and internationally, and wishes 'Happy Days' brings happiness to listeners.

Dira Sugandi, a renowned Indonesian jazz singer, often performs with international artists like Jason Mraz, David Foster, and Andrea Bocelli. Known for her mezzo-soprano vocal range, Dira has graced many international jazz stages, including the Java Jazz Festival in Jakarta, where she recently performed with the American jazz band led by the legendary drummer and producer Harvey Mason. Despite her experience, Dira admits to feeling nervous before performances, especially when sharing the stage with icons like Mason. Harvey Mason, known in Indonesia since the 1990s for his work with the group Four Play, praised Dira's vocal abilities. Dira sees jazz as a means of expression and improvisational dialogue with other musicians. She remains optimistic about the future of Indonesian jazz on the world stage and hints at potential international collaborations, possibly in the form of a new album.
