How easy it is to get a fake Polish corona test

NRK, using a freelance journalist, has uncovered the ease of obtaining fake corona tests in Poland. These tests, which are required for entry into Norway, can be forged by photoshopping names and dates onto legitimate documents from recognized laboratories. An authentic test in Poland costs about 1000 NOK, while a fake one is around 350 NOK. Payment for these fake tests is often made in bitcoin to avoid traceability. The Norwegian government is tightening entry requirements, reducing the window for testing from 72 to 24 hours before departure. NRK has not used these fake tests to enter Norway. The issue of fake tests is also a concern for London Medical Laboratory, whose name and a doctor's signature were forged on a fake certificate. Norwegian authorities are aware of the issue, and police have methods to assess the authenticity of documents, although it remains challenging. So far, one person has been convicted in Norway for using a fake test and was sentenced to 30 days in prison.

In Poland, protests have erupted against one of Europe's strictest abortion laws following a constitutional court ruling that bans abortions even in cases of severe fetal defects. The largest demonstration yet took place in Warsaw with over 180,000 participants, alongside similar protests across Polish cities. Nationalists also gathered to defend what they call Poland's Christian values, leading to clashes with protesters. Katarzyna, who attended the protests with her partner Agata and daughter Weronika, recounted a frightening encounter with nationalists. Amidst these events, Poland faces a surge in COVID-19 cases, with more than 20,000 new infections per day, challenging the government's ban on gatherings of more than six people on the streets.
