La porta sfondata. L’appartamento messo a soqquadro. Soldi, gioielli, oggetti di valore e ricordi spariti per sempre. C’è chi, rientrando a casa, si è trovato davanti questo scioccante spettacolo. Chi addirittura, mentre di notte i ladri frugavano nei cassetti e nei portagioie, dormiva poco lontano, nel proprio letto. E poi c’è chi, semplicemente, ha lasciato magari il finestrino dell’auto un po’ aperto. E tanto basta perché la mano di un furfante si allunghi all’interno dell’abitacolo. Negli ultimi tempi, succede sempre più spesso in Ticino: nel giro di un anno, i furti nelle abitazioni sono passati da 519 a 678, quelli nelle automobili da 405 a 788. Certo, se allunghiamo lo sguardo a dieci anni fa, le cose sono comunque migliorate. E non di poco. Nel 2013 infatti i furti con scasso nelle abitazioni erano infatti 1’792. Dunque quasi il triplo.
