Henry Wilkins

I’m a London-based multimedia journalist, with full UK media accreditation, specialising in broadcast reporting and high-impact visual storytelling. I previously reported for Voice of America across TV, radio, digital and social platforms—producing field packages, fast-turnaround news updates and a large volume of social-first video content.

I covered major conflicts and humanitarian crises, including the wars in Sudan, Ethiopia, Israel and the Occupied Territories, as well as the wider Sahel conflict during more than two years based in Burkina Faso. Working largely as a solo operator, I shot, scripted and edited my own reports to a broadcast-ready standard in fast-moving, high-risk environments.

I combine a strong on-air presence with the ability to capture high-quality footage under extreme pressure, and I’ve delivered countless live hits, two-ways and breaking-news broadcasts for international outlets. My reporting and commentary have also appeared on BBC World Service, France 24, CBC Radio, Al Jazeera, and in print and digital publications including The Economist, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, Reuters, BBC and Vice.
