Halima Athumani is a freelance Journalist based in Uganda with a radio experience of over 13 years. Halima currently works for Voice of America-Africa desk-(Radio and Television) https://www.voanews.com/author/halima-athumani/tvv_o, US based National Public Radio and is the current podcast host of an ongoing War Crimes Trial in Sweden **** and https://www.scidev.net/global/authorhalima-athumani.html
Halima has worked for local media in Uganda including 93.3 KFM (2006-2009) and Uganda Radio Network-News Agency (2010-2014).
In 2016, Halima ventured into Television with her first story being an investigative piece titled "Uganda's Health Pyramids" with full support from Banyak Films-UK. The Special Investigation Film run on Al Jazeera, People and Power.
She has handled special assignments for Public Radio International-America Abroad Media, BBC and podcasts for University of Cambridge.
