She has lived and worked extensively in New York City, Israel, the West Bank, Jerusalem, Central and South America, Japan, and throughout the U.S. She was formerly a Senior Forests Editor at an international environmental and science news website, Mongabay, and a Service Editor at U.S.-based McClatchy. She published 5 travel guide books for Moon Handbooks / Hachette Publishing on Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the Holy Land between 2014 and 2023. She is currently writing a novel series based on her 20-plus years of experiences in the global journalism industry. Genevieve is a certified Solutions Journalism trainer through the Solutions Journalism Network, and a graduate of the 2024 Poynter Women's Leadership Academy in Florida, and served as a mentor in PEN America's Prison Writing program.
