Faiz Muhammad Paracha is a seasoned broadcast journalist and media professional with over 18 years of experience in business, economy, and energy reporting. He has served as Special Correspondent at ProPakistani.pk, and has worked with some of Pakistan’s leading news organizations, including Geo News, Samaa TV, Dunya News, Business Plus, and APP Video News Service. Faiz began his journalism career while pursuing his bachelor’s degree, joining Daily Aaj & Daily Ausaf in Kohat as district correspondent in 1997. He holds an MBA in Marketing from Preston University, Islamabad, and briefly worked in the advertising industry with Manhattan Pakistan Ltd. (MPL) and Evernew Concepts, before returning to his true calling: journalism. He joined Telebiz, a pioneering private business news production house, in 2003, which later evolved into CNBC Pakistan (now GNN TV), and gave rise to Samaa TV. Over the years, Faiz has earned a strong reputation as a credible voice in economic journalism and public affairs broadcasting. In parallel, Faiz has built significant experience in the development sector as a Media and Communications Specialist. He has worked with leading organizations such as the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), World Health Organization (WHO), USAID’s JOBS Project, International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Search for Common Ground (SFCG), ACT International, and the Higher Education Commission (HEC). His consultancy work has involved strategic media engagement, project documentation, success story writing, video documentaries, and donor communications. Faiz is also an alumnus of several prestigious international fellowships: • Anadolu Agency Energy Journalism Fellowship, Turkey (2018) • One Belt One Road (OBOR) Fellowship, Renmin University, China (2018) • East-West Center Cross-Border Reporting Fellowship, Nepal (2022) He is well-travelled and been to the United States, India, Nepal, Turkiye, China, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
