Esther Mbabazi is a photographer based in Kampala, Uganda, who uses storytelling and photojournalism to shed light on societal issues. With a background rooted in humility, her work explores the evolving realities of the African continent, focusing on the social, economic, physical, and emotional aspects of daily life. Esther is a National Geographic Explorer, Everyday Africa contributor, and a Magnum Foundation Photography & Social Justice Fellow. She participated in the World Press Photo Masterclass for East Africa and won the inaugural Young Photographer Award at the Uganda Press Photo Awards. Her work has been featured in publications such as The New York Times, National Geographic, TIME Magazine, The Washington Post, and the Wall Street Journal, and she has been commissioned by various NGOs.
