David S. Johnson

David S. Johnson, Jr. is a Journalist, Multimedia Practitioner, and Media Entrepreneur based in Monrovia, Liberia. With nearly a decade of active journalism practice since 2016 — spanning print, digital, broadcast, and community media — he has established himself as a versatile and impact-driven communications professional across Liberia's media landscape.

He serves as CEO/General Manager of The Point Africa News and Media Consultancy Agency Inc., that owns 'The Point Africa News Agency' an independent digital media platform and company based in Liberia and dedicated to credible, balanced, and fact-based journalism — amplifying Africa's voices on governance, society, culture, and development, while bridging information gaps for local and global audiences.

As a freelance practitioner, David has provided Media and ICT Consultancy Services to institutions including CEMESP, ECC, WANEP, NCJPC, CABICOL, Formidable Initiatives for Women and Girls Liberia Inc., local NGOs and prominent institutions operating in Liberia. He once served as an Intern Reporter and a contributor to FrontPage Africa Newspaper, serverd as Print/Layout Editor, Videographer, Documentarian for the Redeemer Media Ministry, served as Intern Reporter at the InProfile Daily Newspaper, and once served as Communications Focal Person at the Planned Parenthood Association of Liberia (PPAL) and the Formidable Initiatives for Women and Girls Liberia Inc, he also served as Administrator and Technical Manager at the Ableejay Media Consultancy Inc. He holds credentials in Journalism, Public Relations, Project Management, and Computer Networking.

David is committed to using media as a tool for accountability, education, and social change in Liberia and beyond.
