I’m a Ukrainian journalist and co-founder of the Kyiv Independent, with over seven years of experience covering human rights, war, and political affairs for both Ukrainian and international audiences. Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, I’ve focused on documenting the human impact of the war — reporting on captivity, forced deportation, displacement, and gender-based violence. Through my reporting, I aim to challenge indifference and make Ukraine’s experience of war seen and understood beyond its borders. I hold a degree in linguistics and translation (English and German) and am based in Ukraine, though I’m available for assignments and travel internationally.
