Beth Eisgrau-Heller

I am a Brooklyn-based Visual Storyteller and Photojournalist, a New Yorker with deep Lower East Side roots. I primarily shoot hyper-local, Brooklyn-centric news, arts, and cultural events for the Brooklyn Daily Eagle. Additional clients include Lander for Mayor campaign, Google, Atlantic Avenue Local Development Corp., Montague BID, among others. 

Whether I am on assignment, at a gala event or photographing on the street, I actively seek to capture images that counter our nation's current deeply divided and polarized ethos. It is my deepest joy to observe and to wait for moments of intimacy that authentically depict love, empathy, human connection, community, renewal, hope, creativity, and individual expression.  

Throughout my adult life, I have photographed for pleasure while working in administrative positions at creative institutions including The International Center of Photography, Grey Advertising and Getty Images. I have also worked as an Event Production professional. Furthermore, it has always been a priority to lend my photographic skills to organizations and causes close to my heart including KEXP, Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls, and the Hip Tot Music Fest.
