I am an investigative climate and science journalist based in Khulna, Bangladesh. My reporting focuses on how climate change is reshaping public health, livelihoods, ecosystems and inequality across Bangladesh’s coastal belt and the Sundarbans. I investigate stories at the intersection of climate, health, environment, science and data—particularly issues that remain underreported but have profound consequences for vulnerable communities. My work combines field reporting, data analysis, scientific research and human-centered storytelling. I have reported on salinity intrusion and its health impacts, climate-related livelihood losses, environmental degradation, wildlife health, antibiotic resistance and the growing inequalities faced by coastal communities. I am a recipient of the Plan International Media Award and UNICEF Meena Media Award, and have been a Thomson Reuters Foundation Alumni & fellow. I was also a finalist for the Knight Science Journalism Program at MIT. I am a journalist with The Business Standard and founder and editor of The Climate Monitor, where I develop investigative and data-driven stories on climate, environment and public health.
