About Andrew
Andrew Johnstone is a freelance broadcast journalist, producer, DOP and photojournalist, based between Vienna in Austria and Edinburgh, UK.

Andrew has been working in film and Television for over 25 years and runs his own production company Wild Dog Limited. Andrew is a member of the Guild of Television Cameramen.

Andrew has a full ENG HD shooting kit (BBC/EBU approved for HD broadcast), including audio kit with radio & boom mics, grip, GoPro & reporter lights, as well as pro-audio recorders for radio reporting. 

Wild Dog's edit studio includes Premiere Pro, Audition, After Effects and Final Cut Pro.

Andrew's most film is Ghosts of Alderney - Hitler's Island Slaves, a 1 hour documentary about Nazi atrocities on British soil in World War Two. 

A regular current affairs producer and Self-shooting PD for BBC, Andrew has worked for ITV News, Channel 5, Channel 5, NHK Japan, Deitsche Welle and others.  

An experienced photojournalist, Andrew is a long time contributor to Panos Pictures and his work has been commissioned and published in many news papers and magazines, including Time Magazine, New York Times, Guardian, Sunday Times, Die Zeit and the Telegraph.
