Andrew Hirschfeld

Andy Hirschfeld is a journalist based in New York City. His work has appeared in numerous publications including The Daily Beast, Slate, Observer, CNBC, Yahoo Finance, Fortune Magazine, Time Out Magazine, Eater, NY Focus, Insidehook,  The Daily Dot, Digital Trends, TYT Investigates, Al Jazeera English,  CS Monitor, Nationswell, Yes, The Courier, Salon and many other publications. He mainly covers cost of living related issues through a social lens as well as business, culture, tech, and politics. He's broken multiple exclusives on topics ranging from pay issues in professional athletics to allegations of child abuse in residential treatment centers to financial influence on Capitol Hill.

He's also the anchor of The Business Report — a daily business news update program airing on NewsNet, ABC, CBS, CW and FOX affiliate news stations across the United States in several top 50 markets. 

For radio, he's an active contributor to NPR's The American Homefront Project produced by WUNC.
