Ambra Schilliro

I am an Italian journalist who has been living and working between China and Thailand for the past 16 years, with additional experience living in South Korea. I am available to travel across Asia whenever needed. My work focuses mainly on lifestyle, economy, food, travel, beauty, fashion, and celebrities, with a strong interest in stories that connect culture, entertainment, and contemporary Asian trends.

I was born and raised in Catania, Italy. I hold a Bachelor of Science with a major in Political Science and earned an English diploma in Broadstairs, Kent. I began my career in journalism at the age of 18, working for my first newspaper and appearing on television for the first time soon after.

Over the years, my articles and TV reports have been published and broadcast across magazines, newspapers, and television networks in both Italy and China. I have also hosted shows, launch events, and press conferences in China.

I have been a professional member of the Italian Journalists Association since 2002, a member of the Italian Sports Journalists Association since 2006, and a member of the International Sports Press Association since 2010. Alongside my journalistic work, I have also held institutional and community roles, including President of the Sicilian Association in China, Vice President of the Italian Association in Shanghai, and President of China Fashion Group.

After working for several economic newspapers in China, I expanded my expertise into media relations, press conferences, social media strategy, and corporate communications. In 2014, I founded Social Cloud, a marketing and public relations company based in China.

Today, I am co-editor of the Asia column for Billboard Italia, a regular contributor to Rolling Stone, a contributor to Elle, and Editor in Chief of the Chinese edition of Switch magazine. I also continue to work with Italian national television RAI, as well as with China Daily on livestreaming projects and content creation.
