About Ahmad
َAhmad Bizhan Aryan is a journalist, political program host, and documentary maker with over 14 years of experience. What Did the Taliban Do to Us in Prison? Where Does Most of the Abuse in Taliban Prisons Come From? Nadia Sadat, a former female detainee of the Taliban, says that the forces of this group, who were sent from certain Pashtun-majority areas to northern Afghanistan, are responsible for the majority of the abuse and cruelty against women prisoners. She emphasizes that her criticism is not directed at any particular ethnic group, but states that most of the abuse has been carried out by these Taliban fighters. Sharing her personal experience, she says these individuals subjected women prisoners to the worst treatment, mercilessly humiliating and torturing them.

This interview was conducted about the visit of the head of Pakistan’s intelligence agency to Afghanistan during the first days of the handover of the previous government to the Taliban and the beginning of the group’s rule. At that time, the Taliban spokesperson, in an interview during their first days in Kabul, stated that the head of Pakistan’s intelligence agency had come to Kabul to discuss economic projects and the repair of Kabul Airport with Taliban officials. He also promised that the Kabul administration would soon come out of its “caretaker” status. However, now, after three years and ten months, the Taliban’s government remains in caretaker status.
