Afeeq Nadzrin

Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Afeeq Nadzrin spent his childhood watching films and channel surfing whilst enjoying and admiring the creativity and story-telling visuals executed by various sorts of film directors. After picking up the camera four years ago as a hobby, Afeeq immediately realised that filmmaking and photography became his passion and a work of art he wanted audiences to become well aware off. 

Since turning and enhancing his talents towards filmmaking, Afeeq has quickly built himself a reputation as one of the youngest film directors in Malaysia after directing two films including a documentary shortlisted for ‘Best Documentary’ in Canberra, Australia. His work life has revolved around his personal interest and creative preferences. Afeeq’s passion is emotional story-telling and is always on the lookout for the idiosyncrasies that colour our lives. The abynormal that makes us normal. 

His inpiration growing up is Bruno Aveillan, Martin Scorsese, Stephen Spielberg and Quentin Taratino.

Afeeq Nadzrin is also an experienced Producer with a demonstrated history of working in the media production industry. Skilled in Cinematography, Photography, Media Producer, Television, and Film. Strong arts and design professional with a Bachelor’s Degree focused in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management from University of Canberra.
