Aaron Kamanga

Aaron Kamanga is a seasoned Zambian broadcast journalist and Jazz Broadcaster with a distinguished career spanning over fifteen years. He has built a strong reputation for producing in-depth radio and television documentaries that explore critical social issues, with a particular focus on holistic agriculture, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and the impact of climate change on agriculture. His work effectively bridges the gap between complex policy, development initiatives, and the public, fostering greater awareness and understanding.

His professional journey showcases a progression from creative production to strategic leadership. He served as a Television Producer for the Zambia News & Information Services (ZANIS) for over a decade, where he was responsible for scripting, producing, and editing TV documentaries aired on the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC). In this role, he frequently interacted with government officials, traditional leaders, and international organizations. His expertise led him to a leadership position as the delegation leader for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Integrated Reproductive Health Communications Team, coordinating media coverage across multiple provinces.

Currently, as a Senior Digital Skills and Capabilities Officer (Communications) at the e-Government Division of the SMART Zambia Institute, Aaron applies his extensive media experience to the digital transformation space. He is in charge of communications, social media management, and the production of radio and television documentaries. His contributions were instrumental in his team winning the Best Tech PR Team award at the 2024 TechTrends Zambia Awards.
